Mental Health

The pandemic has led to a 25% increase in anxiety and depression worldwide. Self-care can be crucial in maintaining your mental health and can support treatment and recovery if you have a mental health condition.

This means setting aside time to do things that help you live well and improve your physical and mental health. When it comes to your mental health, self-care can help manage stress, reduce the risk of illness, and boost your energy levels.

Here are some tips to help you start taking care of yourself:

– Take a break from the news.
– Disconnect from your phone, TV, and screens for a while.
– Take care of your body: Eat healthily, get enough sleep.
– Limit alcohol and other drug intake.
– Make time to relax.
– Connect with other people.

While self-care is not a cure for mental illnesses, understanding what causes or triggers your mild symptoms and which coping techniques work for you can help care for your mental health.

Taking care of your mental health is as important as taking care of your physical health!
